RATIONALE: The Treasure Background anomalously costs 2 character creation/freebie points per dot, instead of the usual 1. This is irksome, especially since whimsical Faerie Treasures are hardly unalloyed blessings.

Treasures cost the normal number of character points to buy, so long as they are bought with a built-in Flaw that affects the character who uses the Treasure. The Flaw should be of a level equal to the rating of the Treasure and is similar to a Flaw from the rulebook; eg a magical helmet of invisibility (2 point treasure) conveys the ‘Bad Sight’ 2 point Flaw while it is worn.

By paying double the cost in character points for a Treasure as the rules suggest, the character can have a Treasure with no Flaws.
