Pritchard Kaye is a Welsh bare-knuckle boxer who runs an illegal fight club in ‘The Red Room’. You get to join the Red Room once you’ve stood a round with Kaye. Kaye is really Cei Hir, the Tall One (he’s over 7’ in height) and the Red Room is the courtyard of Caer Goch, his Freehold under Lewisham.

Cei Hir has few redeeming characteristics. He’s an aggressive bully but the first to turn tail when genuinely outmatched. He has no conception of honour, propriety or loyalty. He’s intensely quick to take offence and nurses long-lasting grievances. In particular, he reacts to any perceived superiority or dignity with implacable contempt and sets about creating trouble for anyone who seems more popular, more virtuous or more honourable than himself, which is practically everyone. Not a troll to get on the wrong side of, but staying on his right side is almost impossible.

Cei is thoroughly detested even by most of the Unseelie inhabitants of Bedegraine, but seems to attract damaged souls. He has a Retinue of cage fighters and torture gimps, but the roster is always changing. He’s gotten involved with some Far Right politics and enthusiastically takes part in any beatings, murders or riots planned by Combat-18 and other neo-Nazi groups. Whether his involvement with these groups is a superficial delight in bullying and anarchy or goes deeper is not known.

In The Monster Mash Cei confronts Redhilda and Bors of Ganis during the Tourney. Bors defeats him by invoking the Dragon. Cei is left badly injured and scarred by fire. He vows a horrific revenge and sets about exposing Bors as a Dragonizer to exclude him from the Troll Thing.
